I take the issue differently: The Persian invaded Greece first which began in 492BC and ended with the Athenian victory years later. The story goes that after the invasion of the Persians, they established their supremacy over the Aegean Sea by ingeniously connecting thousands of boats to each other for the passage of military equipment, horses, elephants and soldiers.
A fatal mistake happened when the Iranian military generals then invited King Dariush to celebrate the victory in Greece. When he arrived, thousands of corpses from both sides were still on the ground, causing the king to weep all night long. King Darius criticized his top military general for such heavy loss of life, dismissed his famous senior general on the spot.
Doing so happened at a time when the Persian Empire was at its peak that raptured their military morals and became Greeks ultimate victors by the war's end.
So, the Asians were the first to invade Europe based on collective state interests. Let's point our finger at ourselves and selflessly accept that the dominant process of collective thinking are actualy behind time, but since society corresponds to it in harmony that places per se todays' Afghanistan and Iran decades if not centuries behind.
